Job Title: Warehouse Associate - Alexandria ShiftJob Description
As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of the shipping area, including the shipping of orders and sample requests. This position requires a mid-shift schedule from Monday to Friday and involves heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
• Complete all Quality Assurance orientation for new employees and annual training, including allergens, hygiene, safety, sanitation, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and good manufacturing practice (GMP) required for the position.
• Ensure the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.
• Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
• Stock and store all materials and supplies of the warehouse.
• Report damage and loss of inventory to the supervisor.
• Operate forklifts with familiarity.
• Coordinate all work functions with team associates and other departments.
• Perform all assigned tasks by the supervisor efficiently and timely.
• Ensure that the quality of supplies and goods is compliant with company standards.
• Maintain all safety regulations while carrying out work functions.
• Follow all plant Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP), Safety, and Food Safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.
Essential Skills
• Experience in warehouse operations is preferred.
• Ability to understand measurements for weight, volume, and temperature.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating verbally in English; ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Familiarity with forklift operation (stand-up and sit-down).
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Education equal to a 6th Grade is required.
• GED or equivalent work experience is preferred but not required.
• Some previous working experience as a Warehouse Worker.
• Ability to work in freezers.

Work Environment
The position involves working in environments with temperatures ranging from +45-60ºF and coolers with temperatures from +25-40ºF, as well as freezers with temperatures as low as -10ºF. You will be working in proximity to knives, broilers, grills, ovens, searing, and other food preparation equipment, requiring adherence to safety guidelines to avoid burns or injury. The work environment is fast-paced and deadline-oriented, requiring neat and clean uniform and hygiene.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alexandria, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
