Warehouse Inventory Associate

Job Summary Are you interested in a secure, full-time career in a facility with climate control Family Dollar is seeking enthusiastic Warehouse Inventory Associates to become part of the team at our Distribution Center. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be crucial in ensuring our stores are well-supplied by participating in various departments such as Receiving, Replenishment, and Shipping. We value flexibility and will train you in multiple functions, including operating forklifts and auditing inventory, to aid in the growth of your logistics career. Key Responsibilities Order Selection: Accurately select merchandise from active slots and move items to conveyors, pallets, or boxes to fulfill store orders efficiently. Loading & Unloading: Move freight from trailers to conveyors or from pallets directly into trailers. Ensure all non-conveyable items are scanned and logged correctly before shipment. Equipment Operation: Operate forklift-type equipment to safely move and store merchandise. Follow system-generated replenishment screens to keep pick areas fully stocked. Inventory Auditing: Use remote data terminals to check, verify, and audit incoming merchandise. Ensure all items match order specifications and are free of damage. Processing & Labeling: Identify, separate, and label merchandise for relocation. Palletize items for efficient storage within the distribution center. Cross-Functional Support: Adapt to changing business needs by floating between departments such as Repack and Bulk as assigned by management. Facility Maintenance: Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe, clean, and organized climate-controlled workspace. Qualifications & Skills Having a positive attitude towards learning new roles and adapting to changing priorities is key. Physical Requirements Being capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting for the entire shift period. Possessing manual dexterity to handle equipment and scan items accurately. Necessary adjustments could be arranged to assist individuals with disabilities in fulfilling essential job functions.
