Volleyball Manager and Customer Service Associate

Job Description Volleyball Operations Manager and Customer Service Associate Tandem Sport, established in 1989, is a well-known brand in the Sporting Goods and Volleyball Industries. Tandem is seeking an experienced professional to undertake both roles of Volleyball Operations Manager at Baxter Jack’s and Customer Service Associate at Tandem Sport. The position includes managing nightly volleyball leagues, staffing and scheduling, planning and running tournaments and special events, order entry and invoicing, processing wholesale orders, and more. The ideal candidate is dependable, outgoing, organized, and detail-oriented, and enjoys working with people. Baxter Jack’s – Bar, League, & Tournament Management · Managing nightly volleyball leagues and assisting with bar management · League scheduling, registrations, and player communication · Helping manage staff and league-night operations, including bartenders and referees · Assisting with tournaments, special events, and rentals · Helping plan and run the 38th Annual Kentucky Derby Festival Volleyball Classic · Helping plan and run the 37th Annual Brightside Volleyball Classic Tandem Sport – Customer Service Associate · Customer service by phone and email · Order entry and invoicing · Processing wholesale orders and entering information portals · Answering product, pricing, and inventory questions · Working with our sales and warehouse teams · Helping resolve customer and order issues Education and Experience · Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business, Marketing, and/or related fields is preferred but not required · It is preferred that the candidate has experience in the national sporting goods market, but it is not mandatory. Knowledge of the volleyball market would also be a great asset. · Intermediate level computer experience in Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of SAGE accounting system would be helpful (MAS 90). Essential Duties · Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills · Highly personable, energetic, self- starter, and a team player. · Ability to multitask and take on additional responsibilities as needed. · Desire to work in a small family company environment while maintaining the public image both nationally and internationally of Tandem Sport. · Accepts constructive feedback from peers, supervisors, and others and utilizes feedback to improve performance. · Decision-making, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills. · Available for the evening and some weekends · Ability to lift 10 – 20 lbs. throughout the day and sit at a desk and reach files, etc. · Willingness to assist in any tasks as needed Compensation A competitive base salary plan is offered depending on experience.
