Shipping Clerk

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient processing of shipments, ensuring that all outgoing and incoming goods are handled with precision and care. Duties • Prepare and process shipping documentation using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Coordinate the loading, unloading, and movement of goods using equipment such as pallet jacks, RF scanners, forklifts (certification preferred), and order pickers. • Verify orders for accuracy through data entry, order picking, packing, and order fulfillment procedures. • Manage shipping logistics by scheduling carriers, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery in accordance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards. • Conduct inventory management activities including stocking, cycle counts, and stock replenishment to maintain optimal warehouse levels. • Maintain detailed records of shipping & receiving activities, including inbound/outbound logs, incident reports, and shift documentation. • Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve shipment issues promptly and provide updates on order status. Qualifications • Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics roles with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes. • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory management software. • Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, international trade regulations, and trade compliance requirements. • Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing. • Skilled in using Microsoft Office tools for reporting and communication purposes. • Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts (certified preferred), pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers. • Excellent data entry skills combined with a customer service mindset to support internal teams and external partners. • Physical ability to load/unload shipments, stand/walk for extended periods, and lift heavy items safely as required.
