At Xylem, a Fortune 500 global water solutions company with 23,000 employees operating in over 150 countries, we're dedicated to advancing sustainable impact and empowering the people who make water work every day. We invite passionate individuals to join our team, exceeding customer expectations through innovative solutions.
If you're a skilled builder who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and seeing a finished product come to life, consider the Senior Machine Builder role. You'll play a critical part in assembling and testing equipment that supports essential water and fluid-handling solutions worldwide. This is more than repetitive assembly—you'll work hands-on with mechanical and electrical systems, interpret technical instructions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure every product meets rigorous quality and safety standards. Your experience and attention to detail will help deliver reliable equipment that customers depend on daily.
### What You'll Be Doing
Assembling and testing mechanical and electrical components using detailed work instructions and specifications. You'll build standard and custom equipment configurations to meet customer requirements, perform precision assembly with hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and measuring devices, and follow assembly/testing procedures including color coding, PVC thermal welding, thread sealing, and other manufacturing processes. Reading and interpreting blueprints, assembly drawings, work instructions, and specifications is key. You'll verify product quality, identify potential issues before final release, complete required documentation, and support customer expectations through high-quality workmanship. Maintaining a clean, organized, safe work environment and participating in continuous improvement initiatives, 5S activities, and workplace safety programs are also part of the role.
### Where You'll Make an Impact
You'll be a key contributor in our manufacturing operations, helping deliver equipment for municipal, industrial, and commercial water systems worldwide. Your work directly impacts product reliability, customer satisfaction, and Xylem's ability to provide innovative solutions for critical water challenges.
