Job Description As a Security Officer Hospital Access Control in Downey, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide compassionate service to patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Full Time / Mix Shift Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon03:30 PM - 12:00 AMThur02:00 PM - 10:30 PMFri02:00 PM - 10:30 PMSat02:00 PM - 10:30 PMSun03:30 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel. Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as required, directing visitors, and reporting unauthorized access or suspicious activity. Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 5 years of security-related experience. Have supervisory experience. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
