Role and Responsibilities: In this position, you will oversee daily delivery tasks, guaranteeing that products reach their destinations safely, on schedule, and in excellent condition. Your role emphasizes route efficiency, order accuracy, and excellent customer service. • Deliver products to assigned retail locations according to planned routes. • Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring safety and accuracy of products. • Verify order details and maintain precise delivery records. • Plan and manage daily routes to meet delivery timelines and service standards. • Build and sustain positive relationships with customers and store teams. • Process payments and invoices during deliveries, when required. • Conduct routine inspections of delivery vehicles and report maintenance needs. • Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies during all transport and delivery operations. • Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or product damage promptly. • Adjust to changes in routes, schedules, and customer needs as they arise. Required Skills and Experience: • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history. • Proven experience in delivery, logistics, or transportation roles. • Competence in operating delivery vehicles safely and efficiently. • Strong time management and route planning abilities. • Basic math skills for handling invoices and payments. • Ability to lift and transport heavy items as necessary. • Effective communication and customer service skills. • Familiarity with handheld devices or delivery tracking systems. • Attention to detail and accuracy in verifying orders. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) distribution. • Knowledge of local delivery routes and service areas. • Proficiency with logistics or route optimization software. • High school diploma or equivalent education.
