Purchasing/Accounting Assistant-Temporary

Spherion Sioux Falls is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing/Accounting Assistant to join a fast-paced team. This role is ideal for an organized professional with strong data entry skills and a background in administration, accounting, or purchasing support. Pay: $23/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Assignment Type: Temporary (Estimated 2-3 months; potential for long-term placement) Responsibilities: -Order Processing: Create and submit purchase orders; manage daily parts requests and semi-annual/monthly store stock orders -E-Commerce & Sales Support: Process daily web orders, handle eBay/web order corporate sales tickets, and assist with inventory allocation -Financial & Vendor Tracking: Monitor purchase order exceptions and price discrepancies against invoices; update vendor and retail pricing files -Administrative Operations: Maintain warranty claim spreadsheets, assist with new part set-ups, and handle ad-hoc administrative tasks Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Skills: See below Education: High School Experience: 1-4 years Qualifications: -High School Diploma or GED required (prior relevant purchasing or accounting experience preferred) -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with fast, accurate keyboarding and data entry skills -Working knowledge of basic accounting, administrative, and inventory management practices -Strong problem-solving, organizational, and task-prioritization capabilities -Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with staff, vendors, and clients -Ability to learn new processes quickly and manage multiple priorities efficiently To be considered, please apply online at www.spherion.com/apply Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
