GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Overnight Inventory Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring customers enjoy a positive shopping experience. This role involves making eye contact, smiling, and greeting all customers courteously while treating fellow associates with respect. The associate will efficiently adhere to company best practices across various work centers, maintain a clean work area, and ensure merchandise is presented appropriately. Engagement in assigned tasks during working hours is essential, and additional responsibilities may be assigned to help meet customer service and operational goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Prioritizes safety and practices safe behaviors in all activities.
• Maintains a secure shopping environment by being aware of the sales floor condition and ensuring clear emergency exits.
• Treats all customers and associates with courtesy, remaining friendly and professional at all times.
• Assists customers with inquiries and merchandise, ensuring an efficient and positive shopping experience.
• Responds promptly to customer service inquiries and addresses issues courteously, escalating to store leadership when necessary.
• Represents the company brand consistently and positively.
• Conducts cleaning tasks including mopping, dusting, and disinfecting high-touch areas to maintain store cleanliness.
• Adheres to the company’s dress code and maintains professional appearance.
• Ensures the store is well-organized through daily recovery and sizing tasks as per company guidelines.
• Expedites newly received merchandise to the sales floor while following monthly presentation standards.
• Understands loss prevention protocols and adheres to merchandise protection standards.
• Maintains integrity and honesty in all interactions, protecting customer and store information.
• Follows procedures for handling cash and transactions with a high level of accuracy.
• Maximizes productivity by following store best practices and minimizing unnecessary steps in tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Strong communication skills with customers, associates, and leadership.
• Basic math skills common in retail settings.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
• Ability to use store equipment including registers and PCs as needed.
• Must be able to stand and move throughout the store for the duration of shifts.
• Ability to regularly bend, squat, lift, and carry items as required.
• Occasional lifting of more than 25 pounds may be necessary.
• Ability to perform janitorial tasks and use equipment safely.
• Specific assignments may require additional qualifications.
• Associates working stockroom shifts should be prepared for lifting over 20 pounds regularly.
