Operations and Warehouse Manager
Pay: $75k+ DOE
Hours: 6 a.m. – 4 p.m. M-F
An established distribution company is seeking a hands-on Manager to oversee daily operations, shipping and receiving, and inventory control. In this role, you will lead facility personnel, drive operational efficiency, and enforce safety standards to ensure accurate, on-time delivery for regional clients.
Key Responsibilities:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for warehouse visitors, manage will-call orders, and step onto the production floor as needed to guarantee on-time deliveries.
· Oversee all incoming/outgoing shipments, coordinate material staging and truck loading, and manage transfer orders across multi-facility locations to maintain accuracy and condition standards.
· Partner with sales, purchasing, and transportation teams to conduct cycle counts, adjust inventory, and review logistics documentation to establish daily shipping priorities and workflows.
· Direct site-wide safety programs alongside leadership, while training warehouse personnel on equipment (overhead cranes, lifting apparatus), packaging standards, and LOTO/preventative maintenance protocols.
· Manage warehouse shift scheduling, breaks, and attendance while collaborating with HR on staffing needs and performance management.
· Track facility maintenance schedules, coordinate equipment inspections, procure essential operating supplies, and lead initiatives to improve daily operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Associate’s degree or equivalent education from college/technical school; or 1-year related experience and training; or a combination of education and experience.
· 5 years prior management experience required
· 2+ years of Shipping and Receiving experience
· Measuring with tape and micrometer, required
· DOT knowledge
· Overhead crane
· Maintenance experience, preferred
· Able to multi-task and complete projects in a timely manner
· Attention to detail
· Effective communication skills
