Non-CDL Driver

Hamilton Connections is looking for a Non-CDL driver for a distributor in Waterbury, CT. This is a temp-to-perm position.The Non-CDL driver is responsible for day-to-day warehouse functions and driving a box truck to deliver products in a timely, safe and professional manner. Candidates must have and maintain a clean driving record.The hours are 5 a.m. until finished, Monday-Friday. The salary is $21 an hour.Job Responsibilities:Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items, and verifying the accuracy of shipping papersDrive company box truck to deliver orders to our branches and/or our customers' sites, which includes unloading productsDocument delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives; report any discrepancies to companyFollow route manifest set by delivery managerPerform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisorComply with all Department of Transportation standards and regulationsAssist warehouse personnel with preparing orders for shipment as needed, as well as receiving, and verifying incoming materialProperly track and document activity log; keep records on the use or damage of stock or stock-handling equipmentDeliver outstanding customer service and build professional relationships by treating customers and colleagues in a friendly and respectful mannerMaintain a safe driving record free of violations Job Requirements:Must be at least 21 years oldAt least 2 years of related work experienceMust have a valid driver's licenseMust have a valid DOT medical card or be able to obtain oneClean driving record free of accidents and moving violationsAble to handle physical aspects of the job, including standing or sitting for long periods, getting in and out of truck, and lifting to 75-100 lbs.Warehouse operations and logistics experienceStrong communication skillsBe a good team player and maintain good attendance
