As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you read and interpret manufacturing orders, assemble mechanical and electronic components, and ensure that finished products meet quality and production standards. You work with hand tools and adhesives to install assemblies and subassemblies, contributing directly to a high-volume, climate-controlled production environment.
Responsibilities
• Read and interpret manufacturing orders and related documentation to understand assembly requirements and specifications.
• Connect lead wires to printed circuit components accurately and safely, following established procedures.
• Install mechanical and electronic assemblies and subassemblies according to diagrams, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Use hand tools such as screwdrivers and other basic mechanical tools to perform assembly tasks.
• Apply glue and other adhesives correctly to secure components and ensure durable assemblies.
• Perform mechanical and electronic assembly tasks with attention to detail, ensuring proper fit, function, and alignment.
• Support back-end assembly processes, including final integration of parts and components into completed units.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area within a production environment to support safety and efficiency.
• Follow all production, safety, and quality procedures while working alongside 30–40 other team members.
• Inspect assembled components for defects or inconsistencies and report any issues to appropriate personnel.
Essential Skills
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing assembly experience.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and electronic assembly processes.
• Ability to use common hand tools, including screwdrivers and other basic mechanical tools, safely and effectively.
• Knowledge and use of electro-mechanical tools in a production environment.
• Experience with back-end assembly and integration of components into finished products.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturing orders and written work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail when connecting lead wires to printed circuit components and installing assemblies.
• Capability to apply glue and adhesives accurately and consistently as part of the assembly process.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Familiarity with electronic manufacturing environments and production workflows.
• Comfort working in a team-based production setting with 30–40 colleagues.
• Ability to maintain organization and efficiency while handling multiple assembly tasks.

Work Environment
This role is based in a production environment within an electronic manufacturing facility, working alongside approximately 30–40 other team members. The workspace is climate controlled, providing a comfortable setting for performing detailed mechanical and electronic assembly tasks. You use hand tools, electro-mechanical tools, and adhesives as part of daily work, following established production processes and safety procedures.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.50/hr.
