MARINE MACHINERY MECHANIC

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. You will use visual aids and test equipment (e.g., compression gauges, timing gauges, manometers, injector testing machines) to locate and repair worn, dirty, or maladjusted machinery components and parts. You will disassemble, inspect, repair, overhaul, and modify marine machinery or equipment prior to, during, and after completion of testing to verify all components are operating at an optimum. You will troubleshoot marine machinery equipment to identify if trade material, tools, or equipment is defective, not operating properly, or not within operation specifications. You will interpret blueprints and drawings to verify the required repairs are made on marine machinery.
