Maintenance Mechanic (MVO)

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for certain competitive positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a Maintenance Mechanic and performs a variety of maintenance and repair functions in areas such as electrical, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, painting, roofing, water treatment, automotive, wastewater treatment, crane operation, and others. Uses a variety of electric arc processes. Performs as a heavy equipment operator of engineering and construction equipment, including but not limited to: bulldozers, graders, backhoes, trench diggers and front-end loaders. Utilizes established work orders, schedules, and standing verbal or written instructions to direct maintenance personnel to perform their duties. Assists in the maintenance and modifications of campgrounds, roads, recreation areas boats. Prepares areas for water line lay outs electrical lay outs campsite layouts. Makes minor repairs to engines and mechanical equipment, diesel, marine, and stationary engines, and heavy equipment such as crawler tractors mini ex.
