LTC Mail Order Pharmacy Technician - Dearborn, Michigan

This opportunity is ideal for a Pharmacy Technician skilled in long-term care and mail order pharmacy settings. Working primarily on the 2nd shift, you will be responsible for filling prescriptions, preparing IVs, and supporting pharmacy operations under the guidance of a Registered Pharmacist. The position offers a 26-week contract with a potential to transition to permanent employment. Location: Dearborn, MI Job Type: Contract (26 weeks, temp to perm) Shift: Rotating days/evenings (8am-5pm; 1pm-9pm), with a focus on 2nd shift (1:30pm-10pm) Key Responsibilities: • Fill prescriptions accurately and prepare intravenous medications. • Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data and assist with reimbursement processes. • Prepackage medications for dispensing in compliance with standards and governmental regulations under direct pharmacist supervision. • Assist Pharmacists in the final verification and packaging of prescriptions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers. • Support Pharmacy Management by maintaining inventory practices, including receiving, rotating stock, and conducting physical inventories. • Work with the Technician Supervisor to maintain a clean, safe, and well-calibrated work environment. Qualifications & Desired Experience: • Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience. • Long-term care pharmacy experience strongly preferred. • Sterile compounding and IV preparation experience is a plus. • Valid Michigan pharmacy technician license required.
