We are seeking 2 Psychiatry Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in an adult inpatient behavioral health setting in Eugene, Oregon. This is a scheduled daytime position with no call, providing inpatient psychiatric care to adult patients.

Job Responsibilities
• Provide inpatient psychiatric care to adult patients.
• Perform psychiatric evaluations and ongoing clinical assessments.
• Participate in rounding and admissions.
• Provide inpatient or consultative psychiatric services as required within granted privileges.
• Work collaboratively with the behavioral health team.
• Maintain appropriate clinical documentation in Epic EMR.
• Provide care as part of a team; the physician will not be working solo.
• Manage the clinical needs of patients within the scope of inpatient psychiatry.
• No procedures are required for this position.
• No on-call coverage is required.
Case Log Requirement
Applicants must be able to demonstrate provision of inpatient or consultative services for at least 30 patients during the past 24 months, or have completed a hospital-affiliated accredited residency, special clinical fellowship, or research program within the past 12 months.
Experience may be demonstrated through:
• A residency log for applicants who have just completed residency.
• A quality profile from hospital(s) where the applicant currently holds privileges, showing clinical activity for the previous 24 months, for applicants not applying directly out of residency.
Qualifications
• Physician with a specialty in Psychiatry.
• Oregon medical license is required due to the urgent start.
• BLS certification required.
• Must meet the applicable hospital privileging requirements.
• Must satisfy the required inpatient/consultative case-log criteria.
• Recent inpatient or consultative psychiatry experience sufficient to demonstrate the required clinical activity.
• Ability to provide care to an adult inpatient psychiatric population.
• Ability to participate in both rounding and admissions.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
