🚨 Locum Interventional Cardiologist | Inpatient + Call | High-Volume Practice | Suffolk, VA

A well-established facility in Suffolk, Virginia is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist for locum tenens coverage. This position is inpatient-based with call responsibilities to support the group during provider time off. You’ll work in a Level 3 trauma center with access to full cardiology resources and a robust support staff. 📍 Location: Suffolk, VA🗓️ Coverage Dates: To Be Determined (based on provider availability)🏥 Facility Size: 250 total beds | 10 ICU bedsEMR: Epic 👨‍⚕️ Position Details: • Setting: Inpatient with call • Reason for Coverage: Provider PTO (ATO) • Average Clinic Volume: ~28 patients per provider • Average Inpatient Admissions: 3–4/day • You’ll be the sole interventional cardiologist on-site during coverage • Must be comfortable supervising Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) • Patient Demographic: Adult & Geriatric 🔧 Required Procedures: • Balloon Angioplasties • Coronary Angioplasty • Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) • Heart Catheterizations • Coronary Angiograms • Embolic Protection • Carotid Artery Stenting ✅ Submission Requirements: • Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology – REQUIRED • Active VA Medical License & DEA – REQUIRED • BLS/ACLS Certification – REQUIRED This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-volume, collaborative cardiac team while providing critical inpatient care in a respected Virginia medical center.
