Ceja Corporation is looking to add a Land Tech to our team.

Experience
Minimum three years of prior experience in a land department within upstream oil and gas exploration.
Position Summary
The Land Tech maintains the integrity of the company's upstream ownership, lease, and contract records, coordinating with Accounting, Engineering and Geology departments to assist with exploration, production and acquisition activities.
Landman & Partner Support
• Assist landmen with correspondence, transmittals, check requests, leases, assignments, rights-of-way, and
related contracts.
• Prepare and submit partner proposal letters for drilling, workovers, completions, and acquisitions.
• Respond to partner, royalty, and surface owner inquiries; resolve billing discrepancies.
Title & Ownership Management
• Transfer ownership using recorded deeds, assignments, or purchase agreements; forward for recording
and calculating fees and document stamps.
• Set up new properties in the land database and establish corresponding hard files.
• Confirm company mineral and leasehold ownership, verifying royalty, ORRI, or working interest
percentages.
• Resolve ownership discrepancies with operators, supplying supporting documentation.
Payments, Rentals & Royalties
• Review rental and royalty payments for compliance with contracts, statutes, and Indian Agency
requirements.
• Prepare documents for payment of rentals, bonuses, bills, tax statements, and bonds.
• Prepare payment requests to owners and partners based on AFE’s.
• Code and review invoices to AFE for approval; process lease-purchase drafts and verify documentation.
Division Orders & Revenue
• Process Division Orders — prepare, execute, distribute, and file.
• Monitor DO revenue calculations for accuracy before transferring to accounting.
• Confirm DO receipt for new producing properties; follow up on unpaid DOs monthly.
Contracts & Agreements
• Prepare and review exhibits for Federal Unit and Unit Operating Agreements and assignments;
communicate with federal and state agency personnel as necessary.
• Maintain strong knowledge of leases and division orders to support the organization.
Records & Reporting
• Create and maintain lease, real estate, AFE, damage, prospect, division order, mineral, and agreement
files, verifying accurate lease terms.
Cross-Functional & Administrative Support
• Assist Accounting, Engineering, Geology and Land personnel to keep oil and gas interests accurately
managed.
• Assist Engineering with data entry for projects, permits, and regulatory reports.
• Maintain well location, contract, lease expiration, and operating condition records across producing and
non-producing properties.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between land and accounting systems.
• Prepare routine correspondence and perform other administrative and data entry tasks as needed.
Skills
• Working knowledge of general office procedures, upstream oil and gas operations, and core computer
applications.
• Strong organizational skills for corporate digital and paper files.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Excalibur (Land & Accounting).
• Strong oral and written communication skills to listen to, evaluate, and resolve royalty and joint-interest
owner issues.
• Demonstrated relationship-building with land, drilling, and production operations staff.
