The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for managing the Inventory Department and supporting the company with all tasks and assignments in order to accomplish its goals and the company’s goals.

• Manages the Inventory Department to accomplish its goals and objectives.
• Works to support other departments within the company and to accomplish company goals.
• Interacts & communicates with all levels within the company to achieve goals and resolve issues.
• Works with Purchasing & Engineering on obsolete material, ECO’s, vendor, and material issues.
• Works with planning to resolve inventory issues, work order problems, and bills of material (BOM) errors.
• Writes, establishes & approves department policies & procedures.
• Makes recommendations for capital expenses and reviews department operating costs.
• Coordinate team projects.
• Establishes themselves as a leader with proven abilities and skills.
• Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.
• Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.

Minimum Qualifications
• Understands budgeting, return on investment (ROI) & labor tracking.

• Inventory control classes APICS training & Management classes.
• Proven ability to take on more responsibility
• This person is committed to continuous improvement and learning.
• Fully understands the working relationship between Inventory control & MRP.
• Has a complete understanding of how BOM work.
• Is able to set up and maintain Inventory accuracy goals.
• Demonstrated ability to educate, train and motivate employees, managing conflict and using behavior modification techniques.

• Minimum 10 years work related experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.

Education
Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA from a four-year college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
