About the Role:
As our Housekeeping Supervisor, you will lead and support the daily activities of the housekeeping team to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet M Social's standards for cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction. You will oversee room inspections, coordinate daily assignments, and provide hands-on leadership to create an exceptional experience for every guest.

You will play a key role in ensuring every guest arrives to a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Through quality inspections, team leadership, and attention to detail, you will help deliver memorable guest experiences while supporting the success of the Housekeeping department.
What You'll Be Doing
Daily Operations
Supervise the daily activities of Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Public Area Attendants
Assign daily work schedules and ensure timely completion of cleaning assignments
Monitor room status and coordinate with the Front Office to ensure guestrooms are available for arriving guests
Assist with cleaning guestrooms and public areas as needed to support operational demands
Ensure all housekeeping activities are completed according to brand standards
Quality Assurance
Inspect guestrooms, suites, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met
Identify deficiencies and provide immediate coaching and corrective action
Verify that guest amenities, linens, and supplies are properly stocked
Maintain high quality scores through consistent inspections and attention to detail
Team Leadership
Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to housekeeping employees
Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and service expectations
Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative team environment
Promote accountability, productivity, and consistent performance
Report performance concerns and achievements to the Housekeeping Manager
Guest Experience
Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns
Resolve housekeeping-related issues quickly and courteously
Communicate guest preferences and special requests to the housekeeping team
Support a service culture focused on exceeding guest expectations
Inventory & Supplies
Monitor inventory of linens, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies
Report supply shortages and equipment maintenance needs
Ensure housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and closets remain organized and properly stocked
Assist with inventory counts and supply distribution
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, chemical handling procedures, and company safety policies
Promote proper use of cleaning equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)
Report maintenance issues promptly through established work order procedures
Support emergency response procedures and hotel safety initiatives
Team Collaboration
Partner closely with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, and Food & Beverage teams to support smooth hotel operations
Communicate room readiness and operational updates effectively
Contribute to a positive, guest-focused culture across all departments

Leadership Requirements
Previous supervisory or lead experience in housekeeping or hospitality preferred
Ability to motivate, coach, and support team members
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to maintain productivity while ensuring quality standards
Positive attitude with a hands-on leadership approach
Technical / Role-Specific Requirements
Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel environment
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning chemicals, equipment, and sanitation standards
Experience conducting room inspections and maintaining quality standards
Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) and housekeeping systems preferred
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a full-service, lifestyle, or luxury hotel preferred
Bilingual abilities are a plus
Experience working with brand quality assurance programs is beneficial
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
Frequently bend, lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds
Ability to inspect guestrooms thoroughly, including reaching, kneeling, and climbing stairs when necessary
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent movement throughout the hotel
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Hospitality coursework or related education is a plus
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
