As a Driver Helper, you will work alongside a driver to complete daily sanitation routes. This is a physically demanding position that requires working outdoors and staying active throughout the workday. Schedule Monday - Friday Start time: 6:00 AM Work continues until the daily route is completed Average of approximately 10 hours per day Full-time hours available Weekends generally off Please note: There is no set end time for this position. The workday ends when the assigned route is completed. What You'll DoAs a General Laborer / Driver Helper, your responsibilities may include: Assist the driver with daily sanitation routes Collect and empty trash bins into sanitation trucks Load, unload, and move materials Frequently climb on and off sanitation trucks Help keep routes moving efficiently Assist with landfill operations as needed Follow safety procedures and instructions Work as part of a team to complete assigned routes Maintain a professional and dependable approach throughout the workday Physical Requirements This is an active, physically demanding position. Applicants must be comfortable with: Frequently lifting up to 50 lbs. Walking and standing for extended periods Bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting Frequently climbing on and off trucks Working around dust, odors, and outdoor elements Performing physical tasks throughout the workday Outdoor Work Environment This position is performed outdoors and requires employees to work in various weather conditions, including: Hot temperatures Cold temperatures Rain Wind Dust and other outdoor elements Applicants should be comfortable working outside for extended periods.
