General Laborer - Metal Fabrication Monday - Friday 7AM -3:30PM PAY: $18.00 Shop Job Summary The General Laborer supports daily operations in a metal fabrication shop by assisting with material handling, machine operation support, assembly, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a manufacturing team. Key Responsibilities ? Assist fabricators, welders, and machine operators with production tasks. ? Load, unload, move, and organize raw materials and finished products. ? Operate basic shop equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently. ? Grind, deburr, clean, and prepare metal parts for fabrication and finishing. ? Perform basic assembly of fabricated components according to specifications. ? Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and production areas. ? Package and prepare completed products for shipping and delivery. ? Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment and report maintenance needs. ? Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and OSHA regulations. ? Assist with inventory counts and material tracking as required. ? Support other departments and perform additional duties as assigned. Physical Requirements ? Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday. ? Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and heavier loads with assistance. ? Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures. ? Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection as required. Skills and Competencies ? Attention to detail ?
