Position Summary:
Holy Trinity School is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Facilities Support team member to assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming campus environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This position supports the Facilities Director in the day-to-day upkeep, repair, and operation of school buildings, grounds, and equipment. The ideal candidate is proactive, hands-on, and takes pride in contributing to a positive educational environment.
Responsibilities:
* Assist with routine maintenance and repair of school buildings, classrooms, offices, and common areas.
* Perform basic repairs including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical work as assigned.
* Perform daily custodial duties, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, hallways, and common areas; responding to spills and accidents.
* Assist with lunch setup and breakdown, trash removal, table cleaning, and other tasks necessary to support smooth daily school operations.
* Support campus setup and breakdown for school events, meetings, and special activities.
* Assist with inspections of facilities and identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
* Maintain outdoor areas, including walkways, playgrounds, parking lots, and landscaping support as needed.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests from faculty and staff.
* Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies throughout campus.
* Support seasonal maintenance projects and campus improvement initiatives.
* Follow all safety procedures and school policies.
* Assist with emergency response and facility-related issues as needed.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Previous experience in facilities maintenance, custodial work, construction, or related fields preferred.
* Basic knowledge of building systems and repair techniques.
* Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer service.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical labor for extended periods
* Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
