We're adding a CNC Operator on our second shift to run our SCM Morbidelli M400 nesting machining center and keep cabinet parts flowing to the assembly floor. This is a hands-on machine job. You'll own the machine and the parts that come off it — cutting to the sheet, catching problems before they go downstream, and leaving the next shift set up to succeed. Schedule and training • Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM (four 10-hour days — three-day weekend, every week) • Paid training: Your first 1–3 months will be on day shift, 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM, working alongside our experienced CNC operators. You will not be put on the second shift alone until you're fully up to speed. Once you are, you move to the 2:00 PM start. If you'd rather work afternoons and evenings than fight a 5 AM alarm, this schedule is a real perk. What you'll do • Load sheet goods and run nested cut programs on the SCM Morbidelli M400 • Read and follow cut sheets — verify material, part sizes, and counts before you cut • Change and set tooling, manage vacuum zones, monitor and resurface spoilboard • Inspect parts for tearout, size, and edge quality; flag and log recuts • Apply and verify part labels so downstream assembly can find what they need • Keep the machine clean, dust collection clear, and daily/weekly PM done • Stage finished parts and communicate anything the next shift needs to know • Track daily output and any material or program issues What we're looking for • Previous CNC router experience preferred — especially nested-based panel processing in cabinets, casework, or closets • Comfortable reading cut sheets, shop drawings, and a tape measure to 1/16" • Working knowledge of melamine, MDF, plywood, and veneered panel goods • Able to work independently and make good calls without a supervisor standing there — on a second shift, this is the job • Reliable attendance. When one person doesn't show up on a small shift, the whole next day feels it • Basic computer comfort — loading programs, scanning, entering counts A Plus, But Not Required • Experience on SCM, Biesse, or Homag equipment • Familiarity with Maestro, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, or similar nesting/CAM software • Forklift certification • Bilingual English/Spanish Pay and benefits • $25–$32/hour, based on experience • Medical coverage • Paid time off • 401(k) • Overtime possible • Stable, year-round work Physical requirements Standing and walking for most of the shift. Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of sheet goods and finished parts. Solo lifting is capped at 50 lbs — anything heavier is a two-person lift or uses mechanical assist.
