Distribution Driver Job Summary of Distribution Driver: Sysco is currently hiring dedicated Delivery Drivers to join our team. This role involves efficiently executing daily routes, handling package loading and unloading, and providing top-quality customer service. Job Duties and Responsibilities of Distribution Driver: • Running routes with effectiveness and efficiency to meet or beat designated timeframes. • Unpack products from trailers by hand or using a hand cart and store them in specified customer storage areas. • Transport, propel, or reposition products weighing between 1 and 75 pounds, with occasions of lifting weights of up to 100 pounds. • Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures, addressing any discrepancies professionally. • Handle customer dissatisfaction promptly while maintaining a professional attitude. • Operate Sysco machinery with care, conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections as per DOT regulations and Sysco policies. Qualifications and Experience of Distribution Driver: • Candidates must have obtained a high school diploma or its equivalent, such as a GED. • Suitable candidates should have gained one year of experience in route delivery or a similar role driving straight trucks. It is necessary to hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License of Class B, with a preference for Class A. • Competent in carrying out tasks autonomously.
