About Walmart Daytime Stocking While overnight stockers work after hours, daytime stocking associates replenish shelves during active store hours — working around live customer traffic to keep products available throughout the day. Daytime stockers handle the continuous flow of merchandise that arrives on GM and grocery trucks, processing freight from the backroom to the sales floor while simultaneously helping customers who approach with questions. This dual role of stocking and customer service makes the daytime stocker position more interactive than its overnight counterpart.
