CNC Machinist — Lathe & Mill — Midland, TX
Compensation: Up to $40/hour, based on experience, skill level, and demonstrated ability
Employment: Full-time, permanent/direct hire
Schedule: 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; overtime required as workload demands; frequent weekend work when on call

Position Summary
ASAP Industries is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with lathe and/or mill experience for our Midland, Texas facility. This is a hands-on machinist position, not a CNC operator or dedicated programming role. The primary responsibility is independently setting up and operating CNC equipment to produce accurate parts according to blueprint requirements.
The Midland facility performs a significant amount of repair machining in addition to new-part manufacturing. The successful candidate must be able to evaluate jobs, identify setup and tooling needs, maintain tight tolerances, and produce quality work with minimal supervision. Candidates should currently reside within reasonable commuting distance of Midland, Texas, or be willing to permanently relocate to the area at their own expense.
Core Qualifications
• 3+ years of relevant CNC machining experience with the ability to independently set up and operate CNC lathes and/or machining centers
• Working knowledge of FANUC controls and G-code programming is required; candidate must be able to review, edit, troubleshoot, and provide programming support as needed
• Strong blueprint-reading skills with the ability to maintain tight tolerances and perform in-process inspection using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
• Experience with both repair machining and new-part manufacturing; oilfield machining experience highly preferred
• Able to evaluate jobs in advance, establish appropriate workholding, identify setup/tooling needs, and communicate or resolve machining issues without relying solely on others
• Threading experience preferred
• Self-motivated, dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of producing accurate work with minimal supervision
• Crane/hoist experience required; forklift experience preferred

Location & Relocation
This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position at our Midland, Texas facility. Qualified out-of-area candidates willing to permanently relocate to the Midland area at their own expense will be considered. Relocation timing will be discussed on a case-by-case basis during the hiring process. Company-paid relocation assistance, housing, and per diem are not provided.
