Job Duties and Responsibilities of Class A Delivery Driver: • Verify that the available inventory is adequate for fulfilling delivery obligations. • Adhere to planned routes and utilize maps or GPS systems for efficient navigation. • Transfer and arrange goods from the inventory storage area to the distribution truck. • Properly and promptly deliver products to assigned locations as required. • Verify signatures or payments for confirmation of deliveries. • Get in contact with the warehouse to receive an update on the delivery. • Consistently submit all delivery-related paperwork at the conclusion of every shift. • Notify your supervisors immediately of any accidents or issues with vehicles. • Follow all traffic statutes and adhere to the safety policies established by the company. Qualifications and Experience of Class A Delivery Driver: • The minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or GED. • A spotless driving history and possession of a CDL A license are mandatory. • Successfully completing a DOT physical examination is a must. • Expertise in navigating and parking bulky automobiles. • Can easily handle lifting objects weighing 25 pounds or more. • Being skilled in the operation of hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts is advantageous. • Stellar customer service delivery, efficient time allocation, and proficient organizational talents.
