CDL Flatbed Operator

Responsibilities: • Maintain the highest degree of safety etiquette when operating a commercial motor vehicle to protect on and off road personnel. • To make sure your vehicle is reliable, you need to do both pre-trip and post-trip inspections to lower the chances of having problems when you’re driving. • Schedule and route deliveries optimally to maximize efficiency. • Improper adherence to the safety guidelines followed by the industry in the handling of cargo may result in a severe accident or even fatality. • Communication with dispatchers and customers is a must, as they need to be checked on periodically to ensure all deliveries progress as they should. • Accurate hours and vehicle maintenance records need to be kept. • DOT regulations provide uniformity of measurement throughout transportation infrastructure and strict compliance ensures safety and efficiency of the system. • Report any collisions, vehicle problems or traffic law violations as soon as they occur to the proper authorities who are responsible for enforcing traffic laws and vehicle safety. • Good customer service is about meeting your customers' needs in a timely manner and solving their problems quickly and within a good timeframe, so that it goes beyond their expectations. Qualifications: • Valid and legitimate Class A CDL license. • Keep a good driving record. • Follow DOT medical standards and take drug tests. • Carefully adhere to DOT safety rules and minimize accidents. • Prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to minimize stress and improve job satisfaction. • Skill in lifting and moving heavy objects. • Strong skills in effective communication and exceptional customer service. Experience Levels Accepted: • CDL Training • Fresh CDL licensees • Most vegetables can be grown in 90 days or less, with the proper conditions. • 3-5 months • 6-11 months • 12-23 months • 2 years • 3 years • 4 years • 5+ years Preferred Experience: • Dry Van • Refrigerated (Reefer) • Flatbed • Tanker • Doubles / Triples • Intermodal • Auto Hauler • Household Goods • There are basically two types of bulk carriers: the Panamax and the Capesize.
