Position Purpose: As a Food Delivery Driver, you play a crucial role in the food supply chain, ensuring timely and safe delivery of products while representing our company and fostering relationships with customers. The CDL-B Driver will operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck on local and over-the-road routes, adhering to DOT regulations and working diligently with customers, vendors, and co-workers. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: • Performing all necessary safety checks (pre/post trip) and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. • Reporting any safety issues or required repairs promptly. • Following all safe driving guidelines and ensuring proper loading and securing of freight. • Conducting count checks of items and verifying invoices prior to delivery. • Transporting products to customer locations according to predetermined routes. • Unloading products and ensuring they are placed in designated storage areas. • Executing damage control checks and completing necessary paperwork. • Verifying delivery with customers and securing signatures for proof of delivery. • Handling customer returns and ensuring proper documentation is completed. • Maintaining cleanliness and order in the truck and loading dock areas. • Completing daily logs of hours in accordance with Federal and state requirements. • Performing other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent • 12+ months of commercial driving experience • Valid CDL-B • Must be 21+ years of age • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years • Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check • Pass a road test • Attain or possess a valid current DOT Health Card • Ability to hand-lift varying weights during the shift Company Description: Performance Foodservice, a division of PFG, is a broadline distributor that partners with a variety of customers including independent restaurants, hotels, and healthcare providers.
