CDL-A Owner/Operator

We are currently hiring CDL-A OTR drivers for a 1099 position running household goods & freight. Expected Line haul 400,000-600,000 per year Carroll’s MVRT Inc. Carroll’s MVRT Inc. is one of the oldest and well-respected moving companies in the area. We have office locations in Vineyard Haven and Pocasset MA, while servicing the country. We are seeking motivated drivers, who like a challenge and who have great customer service skills to join our team. Job Responsibilities • Adhere to all local, state and federal traffic laws • Always operate trucks and equipment with care and safety • Report mechanical and equipment issues as they arise • Safely secure and transport cargo • Build strong customer relationships • Promote a safe work environment • Complete relevant paperwork and collect payment • Pack typical household and/or office items • Load, unload, or stack containers, material, or products Required Abilities And Skills The most successful applicants will love working on a team, enjoy a challenge, and demonstrate the ability to stay calm under any situation. • Ability to problem solve with a minimum of outside assistance • Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills resulting in efficient moves • Physical ability to perform the work including above average strength and stamina • Appreciation for customer service • Effective communication skills • Friendly and polite personality • Demonstrated patience, tolerance, and humility • Exceptional record of reliability and dependability • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback • Ability to be completely transparent about mistakes and oversights • Proven ability to follow direction accurately • Positive attitude in the face of adversity Job Type: 1099 Contractual Requirements • 5 years OTR experience, with minimum 3 years of verifiable tractor-trailer OTR driving experience within the past 5 years • Current Class A CDL and medical examination certificate • Clean MVR • Must meet Carroll’s and Allied hiring and DOT requirements • Able to pass regular drug testing • Able to lift 75lbs+ Send request for an application to job@carrollsmv.com Pay: $5,500.00 - $11,500.00 per week Work Location: On the road
