Description Job Description ________________________________________ Job Summary The Business Services Associate (BSA) provides vital administrative, logistical, and candidate-focused support to the Business Services Department. This position ensures accurate documentation, contract processing, job order support, and coordination across programs, enabling the Business Services Consultants (BSCs) and Business Services leadership to focus on strategic employer engagement and service execution. The BSA also supports employment-ready candidates with job matching, referrals, and workforce system navigation. ________________________________________ Essential Job Functions • Complete data entry and prepare contracts including: • On-the-Job Training (OJT) • Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) • Paid Work Experience (PWE) • Special Projects (e.g., Summer Youth Employment) • REACH Metrics • Collaborate with Adult, Dislocated Worker, Youth, and Special Projects staff to align recruitment and training efforts with the Business Services Plan • Assist employers with creating or updating job descriptions as identified through the Business Solutions Plan (BSP) process • Assist with coordination hiring events, job fairs, and recruitment activities, including: • Outreach to participating businesses • Creation of marketing materials • Distribution of promotional content • Maintain detailed records of employer engagement, event participation, and service outcomes to support reporting and continuous improvement • Process and post job orders received from the BSCs, as needed • Provide employment assistance to work-ready job seekers matched to: • Job orders • Work-based learning agreements • Promote all CareerSource Tampa Bay (CSTB) programs and services to job seekers • Provide labor market information aligned with participant career goals • Conduct candidate file searches to match employer skill requirements • Provide referrals to: • WIOA programs • Grant-funded work-based learning programs • Promote referrals to: • Employability Skills Training • Professional Talent of Tampa Bay networking services, as applicable • Ensure all applicable Employ Florida service codes are accurately documented in: • Employ Florida • Salesforce • Support Business Development Managers by facilitating quality job placements • Maintain accurate and well-organized documentation on: • Candidates • Services • Recruiting activities • Outcomes • Work closely with: • Career Services Resource Room staff • RESEA staff • Veterans staff • Training and education partners • Maintain and submit required program reports • Respond to and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner • Perform other duties as assigned ________________________________________ Requirements Minimum Qualifications • Associate in Arts or Science Degree in Human Services or related field from an accredited institution • Bachelor’s Degree preferred • Minimum three (3) years of experience in: • Recruiting • Staffing • Job placement • Workforce services • Florida Workforce Professional Certification – Tier I required • Completion of Business Services Consultant Certification within one year of hire date. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) • Experience using Employ Florida required • Exposure to Salesforce platforms preferred ________________________________________ Job Specifications & Core Competencies • Valid Florida Driver’s License • Strong customer service orientation with a customer-centered approach • Strong change management skills and ability to pivot • Ability to work cooperatively with internal teams and partner agencies • Ability to follow federal, state, and programmatic guidelines • Proficiency with: • Databases • Internet systems • Case management platforms • Knowledge of assessment tools and workforce development techniques • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations and employers • Ability to identify participant needs and appropriate support services • Strong organizational and time management skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment • Ability to perform entry-level professional work including: • Data analysis • Report preparation • Ability to support the administration of grant-funded programs including: • Eligibility coordination • Other duties may be assigned based on department and organizational need. ________________________________________ Work Environment • This position requires regular interaction with job seekers, employers, and internal program staff. • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for recruitment events. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Stooping. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
