Book Packaging & Shipping Assistant — Work from Home

We’re a small memoir company seeking a responsible, detail-oriented individual to prepare books for shipment from home. Ideally located in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Seniors are welcome to apply! Pay & Hours • Starting pay: $18.45 per hour, with potential for increases. • Hours vary based on order volume, with more hours anticipated during the holiday season. Responsibilities • Receive and open incoming packages of books - shipped to you. • Inspect each book for print defects and report any issues to our team. • Repackage books using supplied materials and packaging guidelines. • Weigh finished packages and report their weights. • Print shipping labels supplied by our team and attach them to packages. • Coordinate pickups or drop off packages with the designated carrier, such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL. Requirements • Reliable, organized, and attentive to detail. • Able to lift and handle packages weighing up to 25 pounds. • Have a standard home printer for shipping labels. • Have a clean, secure space to receive, store, inspect, and package books. • Able to arrange carrier pickups and transport packages for drop-off as needed. All packaging materials and guidelines will be provided. Pay: From $18.45 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 – 10.0 per week Benefits: • Flexible schedule Work Location: Remote
